Luke Dickens chose Arms Wide Open by Creed and One Of These Nights by The Eagles. Chris Isaak said "You've got a big voice; I want to see you be intimate and show your quiet side. You want to hear emotion; you don't want to hear a bunch of big notes in a row". Luke said "I'm going to be looking into the cameras so that one day my son can watch it and say 'You were singing that to me'". Chris said "Luke sounds like Luke, and that's a great thing, because when people hear him on the radio, they'll say 'Turn it up, its Luke'".

Kyle said "One of the great things about Australian Idol is that we get to watch people grow and grow. When you sing, it's very you. You have a very unique voice, and I love what you're doing".

Dicko said "Doesn't he look better without that murkin thing on his chin? You have a great voice, it's very identifiable, but that song is full of vague emotion, and that was half baked from you".

Marcia said "I don't know what Dicko was listening to. That is one of the most emotive and moving songs i know of. You sang it from the heart. You are what you is".

Chris Isaak said "That was a really emotional and moving performance, and the way you sing it, nobody else sounds like that. I wish I could buy the record tonight".
