Australian Idol 2008 - Idols Choice Night - Mark Spano - Bad Day

Mark Spano chose Bad Day and Smooth. He said "Smooth's got a really great soul feel to it. It's not entirely my style". Tina Arena said "It's good to take yourself out of your safety zone. That's a great test for him. He sings really well, you believe him. Marks got some complexities to deal with, but that darkness is also a beauty that he can hone in and work. This journey is helping him to unravel a lot of his demons, and artists do have demons. An artist is a complex creature".

Marcia said "One of my very favourite things in the world is sitting here and watching the audience connect with you. They want to be a part of what you're singing, they want to know what you are singing about".

Tina Arena said "Great choice of song. That was a great performance, you were totally in that. You were completely in the zone. Don't forget to open your eyes. You've got those great Italian eyes, use them".

Kyle said "It's hard to open those eyes, but you really have to, especially on TV. I love the way you dragged that pole around the stage. We know the artist you'll be. Stay true to it, only one week left. Good luck buddy".

Dicko said "I know you love Fuel, but that song has gone under the radar for me, I've never heard it before. So for me, it was like I was watching you perform an original, and you sold it".
