Thanh Bui's parents migrated from Vietnam, and from a young age, his natural talent was obvious. During auditions in Sydney, he could feel the pressure building up, but he won the crowd over with Beatles classic "Help". He said "Singing and music are a part of my DNA". He sang U2's song - One.Marcia said "We know you are a teacher, if you had a student sing like that, what would you say. Thanh said "I would say 'You did the best you could have, well done, now go back and listen to the tape'." Marcia said "Well, Thanh, You did the best you could have, well done, now go back and listen to the tape".
Kyle said "You tried very hard, your going to stand out no matter what. The performance was pleasurable and amazing, but you must have been to the toilet and got some backsplash on on your jacket, you may want to take a towel next time".
Dicko said it was "Operation thrash the boy band member". He said "It's still really a boy band sound. Other boy band members who have gone on to a solo career, like Robbie Williams and Justin Timberlake, stand out there. You need to stand up and be an individual".
